O&M Manuals

Generally, clients still prefer their manuals issued in hard copy, although increasing numbers now require electronic copies only, which saves on storage space and cost, and enables faster searching for required information. We can supply electronic copies which are either bookmarked or hyperlinked. Even if electronic versions are not required, at the end of each project we supply a CD containing the information provided in the hard copies, laid out in the same order as the hard copy

Manuals are provided to the client's required format and content, but if no format is available, we will as a minimum, provide manuals to the following basic layout :-

The manuals will be produced in either one volume or multiple volumes to suit the size of the Project, and will contain the following information :-

- Building details, details of services installed together with design parameters, Contractual and legal details, Health and Safety and COSHH information, Environmental details.

- Installed system descriptions.

- Details of manufacturers and suppliers, together with contact details and equipment schedules.

- Recommendations for routine maintenance on all plant and systems.

- Testing and commissioning data in numbered and indexed plastic pockets.

- Manufacturers literature in numbered and indexed plastic pockets.

- Schedule of As Installed drawings, together with copies of As Installed drawings in numbered and indexed plastic pockets.

The draft copy of the manual will be produced on 80gm/m2 paper, while the final copies will be produced on 100gm/m2 paper. In both cases, white 4 post binders will be used, with plastic inserts for insertion of coloured front sheets and spines.

Sections will be divided using white index cards with numbered extension tabs.
